Calendar & Events
At KPS celebrating world international days is taken seriously, giving pupils an opportunity through fun filled activities for global education and history of events in a non-formal setting. Dates of upcoming events can be downloaded by accessing our <school Calendar>
End of Term /Year Shows
Our end of term and year shows are a must at KPS; this is an opportunity for the whole school community to mingle and celebrate the term or year’s work and achievements.
After School Clubs
A number of After School Clubs have been organized for children, and we encourage every pupil from Lower Nursery and above to participate in at least one club. It is a vehicle for learning and development, plus communication with pupils of different age group; building confidence and other social skills.
Educational Excursions & Visits.
Our learning is further extended by taking trips out of school to buttress what the pupils may have been working on for the whole term; Such as – A Mini Beast trip to the flower garden; Year 1 taking a trip to the supermarket to shop using real money, after an entire week’s learning on money, or the local Vet’s visit to close out a term’s learning on ‘All About Animals!’
KPS House System
In January 2015, KPS voted to adopt the following house name; Eagle, Falcon, Hawk and Osprey. This again is a vehicle that would be used to enforce our ‘Hidden Curriculum’, foster positive interaction between different age group and aid healthy competition together with a sense of belonging to the KPS community. Pupils and teachers are assigned to their respective house the minute they join KPS and can earn points for their houses throughout the year.
Community Service
At KPS our children are involved in community services from visits to the Motherless babies and other community services. This is also a vehicle for teaching the pupils of KPS about community responsibilities.
Holiday Summer Club
Our Creative Active Transformation (CATs) Summer Club lunched in summer 2015 and runs for 4 weeks yearly; offering numerous fun filled learning through play! Our program, while engaging kids and keeping them motivated throughout the long holiday, builds confidence, enhances communication skills as well as having a positive impact on academics.
Our CATs club is open to KPS & Non KPS families, but priority would be given to KPS families on a first come bases.
