Learning is fun! |
Kerridale gives her children a wide range of learning opportunities in an environment that develops each and every child at their individual pace. |
Baby Unit (3 – 12Months) |
A dedicated crèche for our youngest ones! Brightly painted, decorated and equipped for the comfort of our babies and mothers, making our babies feel loved and cared for.
During this amazing period, whilst children are exploring their world with all their senses and whole bodies, our early years’ practitioners are always planning play experiences to support this. Even very young babies respond to each other with movements and sounds and trying to make sense of the world, making connections and social development which our team at the nursery is continually encouraging.

Early Bloomers (1 – 2 Years Old) |
Our babies move from the crèche to this group, their programme is not formal allowing them to explore, express and find themselves. |
Explorers (2 – 3 Years Old) |
These are our kindergarten children. At this stage they are very energetic and inquisitive. Using the 6 learning areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework of the Curriculum of England, Wales & Northern Ireland, they are engaged from the minute they come in up until they go home. Our day is spent on activities such as Puzzles, Role Play, Numbers, Literacy, Dancing, Colouring and Painting, Circle Time, Singing, ICT, indoor and outdoor play and off course eating! |
Lower Nursery (3 – 4 Years) And
Upper Nursery (4 – 5 Years) |
This is our transition period. Our qualified members of staff work hard through play, planned activities and firsthand experience by implementing the Foundation Stage Curriculum, working towards the six areas of learning and preparing them for their first year of primary school. |
